阿摩司书第1章
摩1:1
The words of Amos, one of the shepherds of Tekoa–what he saw concerning Israel two years before the earthquake, when Uzziah was king of Judah and Jeroboam son of Jehoash was king of Israel.
当犹大王乌西雅，以色列王约阿施的儿子耶罗波安在位的时候，大地震前二年，提哥亚牧人中的阿摩司得默示论以色列。
摩1:2
He said: “The LORD roars from Zion and thunders from Jerusalem; the pastures of the shepherds dry up, and the top of Carmel withers.”
他说：“耶和华必从锡安吼叫，从耶路撒冷发声；牧人的草场要悲哀，迦密的山顶要枯干。”
摩1:3
This is what the LORD says: “For three sins of Damascus, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath. Because she threshed Gilead with sledges having iron teeth,
耶和华如此说：“大马色三番四次地犯罪，我必不免去她的刑罚；因为她以打粮食的铁器打过基列。
摩1:4
I will send fire upon the house of Hazael that will consume the fortresses of Ben-Hadad.
我却要降火在哈薛的家中，烧灭便哈达的宫殿。
摩1:5
I will break down the gate of Damascus; I will destroy the king who is in the Valley of Aven and the one who holds the scepter in Beth Eden. The people of Aram will go into exile to Kir,” says the LORD.
我必折断大马色的门闩，剪除亚文平原的居民和伯伊甸掌权的。亚兰人必被掳到吉珥。”这是耶和华说的。
摩1:6
This is what the LORD says: “For three sins of Gaza, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath. Because she took captive whole communities and sold them to Edom,
耶和华如此说：“迦萨三番四次地犯罪，我必不免去她的刑罚；因为她掳掠众民交给以东。
摩1:7
I will send fire upon the walls of Gaza that will consume her fortresses.
我却要降火在迦萨的城内，烧灭其中的宫殿。
摩1:8
I will destroy the king of Ashdod and the one who holds the scepter in Ashkelon. I will turn my hand against Ekron, till the last of the Philistines is dead,” says the Sovereign LORD.
我必剪除亚实突的居民和亚实基伦掌权的，也必反手攻击以革伦。非利士人所余剩的必都灭亡。”这是主耶和华说的。
摩1:9
This is what the LORD says: “For three sins of Tyre, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath. Because she sold whole communities of captives to Edom, disregarding a treaty of brotherhood,
耶和华如此说：“推罗三番四次地犯罪，我必不免去她的刑罚；因为她将众民交给以东，并不记念弟兄的盟约。
摩1:10
I will send fire upon the walls of Tyre that will consume her fortresses.”
我却要降火在推罗的城内，烧灭其中的宫殿。”
摩1:11
This is what the LORD says: “For three sins of Edom, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath. Because he pursued his brother with a sword, stifling all compassion, because his anger raged continually and his fury flamed unchecked,
耶和华如此说：“以东三番四次地犯罪，我必不免去她的刑罚；因为她拿刀追赶兄弟，毫无怜悯，发怒撕裂，永怀忿怒。
摩1:12
I will send fire upon Teman that will consume the fortresses of Bozrah.”
我却要降火在提幔，烧灭波斯拉的宫殿。”
摩1:13
This is what the LORD says: “For three sins of Ammon, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath. Because he ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead in order to extend his borders,
耶和华如此说：“亚扪人三番四次地犯罪，我必不免去他们的刑罚；因为他们剖开基列的孕妇，扩张自己的境界。
摩1:14
I will set fire to the walls of Rabbah that will consume her fortresses amid war cries on the day of battle, amid violent winds on a stormy day.
我却要在争战呐喊的日子，旋风狂暴的时候，点火在拉巴的城内，烧灭其中的宫殿。
摩1:15
Her king will go into exile, he and his officials together,” says the LORD.
他们的王和首领必一同被掳去。”这是耶和华说的。
阿摩司书第2章
摩2:1
This is what the LORD says: “For three sins of Moab, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath. Because he burned, as if to lime, the bones of Edom’s king,
耶和华如此说：“摩押三番四次地犯罪，我必不免去她的刑罚；因为她将以东王的骸骨焚烧成灰。
摩2:2
I will send fire upon Moab that will consume the fortresses of Kerioth. Moab will go down in great tumult amid war cries and the blast of the trumpet.
我却要降火在摩押，烧灭加略的宫殿。摩押必在哄嚷、呐喊、吹角之中死亡。
摩2:3
I will destroy her ruler and kill all her officials with him,” says the LORD.
我必剪除摩押中的审判者，将其中的一切首领和他一同杀戮。”这是耶和华说的。
摩2:4
This is what the LORD says: “For three sins of Judah, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath. Because they have rejected the law of the LORD and have not kept his decrees, because they have been led astray by false gods, the gods their ancestors followed,
耶和华如此说：“犹大人三番四次地犯罪，我必不免去他们的刑罚；因为他们厌弃耶和华的训诲，不遵守他的律例。他们列祖所随从虚假的偶像，使他们走迷了。
摩2:5
I will send fire upon Judah that will consume the fortresses of Jerusalem.”
我却要降火在犹大，烧灭耶路撒冷的宫殿。”
摩2:6
This is what the LORD says: “For three sins of Israel, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath. They sell the righteous for silver, and the needy for a pair of sandals.
耶和华如此说：“以色列人三番四次地犯罪，我必不免去他们的刑罚；因他们为银子卖了义人，为一双鞋卖了穷人。
摩2:7
They trample on the heads of the poor as upon the dust of the ground and deny justice to the oppressed. Father and son use the same girl and so profane my holy name.
他们见穷人头上所蒙的灰也都垂涎；阻碍谦卑人的道路；父子同一个女子行淫，亵渎我的圣名。
摩2:8
They lie down beside every altar on garments taken in pledge. In the house of their god they drink wine taken as fines.
他们在各坛旁铺人所当的衣服，卧在其上，又在他们 神的庙中喝受罚之人的酒。
摩2:9
“I destroyed the Amorite before them, though he was tall as the cedars and strong as the oaks. I destroyed his fruit above and his roots below.
我从以色列人面前除灭亚摩利人。他虽高大如香柏树，坚固如橡树，我却上灭他的果子，下绝他的根本。
摩2:10
“I brought you up out of Egypt, and I led you forty years in the desert to give you the land of the Amorites.
我也将你们从埃及地领上来，在旷野引导你们四十年，使你们得亚摩利人之地为业。
摩2:11
I also raised up prophets from among your sons and Nazirites from among your young men. Is this not true, people of Israel?” declares the LORD.
我从你们子弟中兴起先知，又从你们少年人中兴起拿细耳人。以色列人哪，不是这样吗？”这是耶和华说的。
摩2:12
“But you made the Nazirites drink wine and commanded the prophets not to prophesy.
“你们却给拿细耳人酒喝，嘱咐先知说：‘不要说预言。’
摩2:13
“Now then, I will crush you as a cart crushes when loaded with grain.
看哪！在你们所住之地，我必压你们，如同装满禾捆的车压物一样。
摩2:14
The swift will not escape, the strong will not muster their strength, and the warrior will not save his life.
快跑的不能逃脱，有力的不能用力，刚勇的也不能自救，
摩2:15
The archer will not stand his ground, the fleet-footed soldier will not get away, and the horseman will not save his life.
拿弓的不能站立，腿快的不能逃脱，骑马的也不能自救。
摩2:16
Even the bravest warriors will flee naked on that day,” declares the LORD.
到那日，勇士中最有胆量的，必赤身逃跑。”这是耶和华说的。
阿摩司书第3章
摩3:1
Hear this word the LORD has spoken against you, O people of Israel–against the whole family I brought up out of Egypt:
以色列人哪，你们全家是我从埃及地领上来的，当听耶和华攻击你们的话：
摩3:2
“You only have I chosen of all the families of the earth; therefore I will punish you for all your sins.”
“在地上万族中，我只认识你们；因此，我必追讨你们的一切罪孽。”
摩3:3
Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?
二人若不同心，岂能同行呢？
摩3:4
Does a lion roar in the thicket when he has no prey? Does he growl in his den when he has caught nothing?
狮子若非抓食，岂能在林中咆哮呢？少壮狮子若无所得，岂能从洞中发声呢？
摩3:5
Does a bird fall into a trap on the ground where no snare has been set? Does a trap spring up from the earth when there is nothing to catch?
若没有机槛，雀鸟岂能陷在网罗里呢？网罗若无所得，岂能从地上翻起呢？
摩3:6
When a trumpet sounds in a city, do not the people tremble? When disaster comes to a city, has not the LORD caused it?
城中若吹角，百姓岂不惊恐呢？灾祸若临到一城，岂非耶和华所降的吗？
摩3:7
Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.
主耶和华若不将奥秘指示他的仆人众先知，就一无所行。
摩3:8
The lion has roared–who will not fear? The Sovereign LORD has spoken–who can but prophesy?
狮子吼叫，谁不惧怕呢？主耶和华发命，谁能不说预言呢？
摩3:9
Proclaim to the fortresses of Ashdod and to the fortresses of Egypt: “Assemble yourselves on the mountains of Samaria; see the great unrest within her and the oppression among her people.”
要在亚实突的宫殿中和埃及地的宫殿里传扬说：“你们要聚集在撒马利亚的山上，就看见城中有何等大的扰乱与欺压的事。
摩3:10
“They do not know how to do right,” declares the LORD, “who hoard plunder and loot in their fortresses.”
“那些以强暴抢夺财物、积蓄在自己家中的人，不知道行正直的事。”这是耶和华说的。
摩3:11
Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: “An enemy will overrun the land; he will pull down your strongholds and plunder your fortresses.”
所以主耶和华如此说：“敌人必来围攻这地，使你的势力衰微，抢掠你的家宅。”
摩3:12
This is what the LORD says: “As a shepherd saves from the lion’s mouth only two leg bones or a piece of an ear, so will the Israelites be saved, those who sit in Samaria on the edge of their beds and in Damascus on their couches.”
耶和华如此说：“牧人怎样从狮子口中抢回两条羊腿或半个耳朵，住撒玛利亚的以色列人躺卧在床角上，或铺绣花毯的榻上，他们得救也不过如此。”
摩3:13
“Hear this and testify against the house of Jacob,” declares the Lord, the LORD God Almighty.
主耶和华万军之神说：“当听这话，警戒雅各家！
摩3:14
“On the day I punish Israel for her sins, I will destroy the altars of Bethel; the horns of the altar will be cut off and fall to the ground.
我讨以色列罪的日子，也要讨伯特利祭坛的罪；坛角必被砍下，坠落于地。
摩3:15
I will tear down the winter house along with the summer house; the houses adorned with ivory will be destroyed and the mansions will be demolished,” declares the LORD.
我要拆毁过冬和过夏的房屋；象牙的房屋也必毁灭，高大的房屋都归无有。”这是耶和华说的。
阿摩司书第4章
摩4:1
Hear this word, you cows of Bashan on Mount Samaria, you women who oppress the poor and crush the needy and say to your husbands, “Bring us some drinks!”
你们住撒玛利亚山如巴珊母牛的啊，当听我的话！你们欺负贫寒的，压碎穷乏的，对家主说：“拿酒来，我们喝吧！”
摩4:2
The Sovereign LORD has sworn by his holiness: “The time will surely come when you will be taken away with hooks, the last of you with fishhooks.
主耶和华指着自己的圣洁起誓说：“日子快到，人必用钩子将你们钩去，用鱼钩将你们余剩的钩去。
摩4:3
You will each go straight out through breaks in the wall, and you will be cast out toward Harmon,” declares the LORD.
你们各人必从破口直往前行，投入哈门。”这是耶和华说的。
摩4:4
“Go to Bethel and sin; go to Gilgal and sin yet more. Bring your sacrifices every morning, your tithes every three years.
“以色列人哪，任你们往伯特利去犯罪，到吉甲加增罪过；每日早晨献上你们的祭物，每三日奉上你们的十分之一。
摩4:5
Burn leavened bread as a thank offering and brag about your freewill offerings–boast about them, you Israelites, for this is what you love to do,” declares the Sovereign LORD.
任你们献有酵的感谢祭，把甘心祭宣传报告给众人，因为是你们所喜爱的。”这是主耶和华说的。
摩4:6
“I gave you empty stomachs in every city and lack of bread in every town, yet you have not returned to me,” declares the LORD.
“我使你们在一切城中牙齿干净，在你们各处粮食缺乏，你们仍不归向我。”这是耶和华说的。
摩4:7
“I also withheld rain from you when the harvest was still three months away. I sent rain on one town, but withheld it from another. One field had rain; another had none and dried up.
“在收割的前三月，我使雨停止，不降在你们那里；我降雨在这城，不降雨在那城；这块地有雨，那块地无雨，无雨的就枯干了。
摩4:8
People staggered from town to town for water but did not get enough to drink, yet you have not returned to me,” declares the LORD.
这样，两三城的人凑到一城去找水，却喝不足；你们仍不归向我。”这是耶和华说的。
摩4:9
“Many times I struck your gardens and vineyards, I struck them with blight and mildew. Locusts devoured your fig and olive trees, yet you have not returned to me,” declares the LORD.
“我以旱风、霉烂攻击你们，你们园中许多菜蔬、葡萄树、无花果树、橄榄树都被剪虫所吃，你们仍不归向我。”这是耶和华说的。
摩4:10
“I sent plagues among you as I did to Egypt. I killed your young men with the sword, along with your captured horses. I filled your nostrils with the stench of your camps, yet you have not returned to me,” declares the LORD.
“我降瘟疫在你们中间，像在埃及一样。用刀杀戮你们的少年人，使你们的马匹被掳掠，营中尸首的臭气扑鼻；你们仍不归向我。”这是耶和华说的。
摩4:11
“I overthrew some of you as I overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. You were like a burning stick snatched from the fire, yet you have not returned to me,” declares the LORD.
“我倾覆你们中间的城邑，如同我从前倾覆所多玛、蛾摩拉一样，使你们好像从火中抽出来的一根柴，你们仍不归向我。”这是耶和华说的。
摩4:12
“Therefore this is what I will do to you, Israel, and because I will do this to you, prepare to meet your God, O Israel.”
“以色列啊，我必向你如此行。以色列啊，我既这样行，你当预备迎见你的 神。
摩4:13
He who forms the mountains, creates the wind, and reveals his thoughts to man, he who turns dawn to darkness, and treads the high places of the earth–the LORD God Almighty is his name.
那创山造风，将心意指示人，使晨光变为幽暗，脚踏在地之高处的，他的名是耶和华万军之神。”
阿摩司书第5章
摩5:1
Hear this word, O house of Israel, this lament I take up concerning you:
以色列家啊，要听我为你们所作的哀歌：
摩5:2
“Fallen is Virgin Israel, never to rise again, deserted in her own land, with no one to lift her up.”
“以色列民（“民”原文作“处女”）跌倒，不得再起；躺在地上，无人搀扶。”
摩5:3
This is what the Sovereign LORD says: “The city that marches out a thousand strong for Israel will have only a hundred left; the town that marches out a hundred strong will have only ten left.”
主耶和华如此说：“以色列家的城，发出一千兵的，只剩一百；发出一百的，只剩十个。”
摩5:4
This is what the LORD says to the house of Israel: “Seek me and live;
耶和华向以色列家如此说：“你们要寻求我，就必存活。
摩5:5
do not seek Bethel, do not go to Gilgal, do not journey to Beersheba. For Gilgal will surely go into exile, and Bethel will be reduced to nothing.”
不要往伯特利寻求，不要进入吉甲，不要过到别是巴；因为吉甲必被掳掠，伯特利也必归于无有。”
摩5:6
Seek the LORD and live, or he will sweep through the house of Joseph like a fire; it will devour, and Bethel will have no one to quench it.
要寻求耶和华，就必存活，免得他在约瑟家像火发出，在伯特利焚烧，无人扑灭。
摩5:7
You who turn justice into bitterness and cast righteousness to the ground
你们这使公平变为茵陈、将公义丢弃于地的，
摩5:8
(he who made the Pleiades and Orion, who turns blackness into dawn and darkens day into night, who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out over the face of the land–the LORD is his name–
要寻求那造昴星和参星，使死荫变为晨光，使白日变为黑夜，命海水来浇在地上的，（耶和华是他的名）
摩5:9
he flashes destruction on the stronghold and brings the fortified city to ruin),
他使力强的忽遭灭亡，以致保障遭遇毁坏。
摩5:10
you hate the one who reproves in court and despise him who tells the truth.
你们怨恨那在城门口责备人的，憎恶那说正直话的。
摩5:11
You trample on the poor and force him to give you grain. Therefore, though you have built stone mansions, you will not live in them; though you have planted lush vineyards, you will not drink their wine.
你们践踏贫民，向他们勒索麦子；你们用凿过的石头建造房屋，却不得住在其内；栽种美好的葡萄园，却不得喝所出的酒。
摩5:12
For I know how many are your offenses and how great your sins. You oppress the righteous and take bribes and you deprive the poor of justice in the courts.
我知道你们的罪过何等多，你们的罪恶何等大。你们苦待义人，收受贿赂，在城门口屈枉穷乏人。
摩5:13
Therefore the prudent man keeps quiet in such times, for the times are evil.
所以通达人见这样的时势，必静默不言，因为时势真恶。
摩5:14
Seek good, not evil, that you may live. Then the LORD God Almighty will be with you, just as you say he is.
你们要求善，不要求恶，就必存活。这样，耶和华万军之神必照你们所说的，与你们同在。
摩5:15
Hate evil, love good; maintain justice in the courts. Perhaps the LORD God Almighty will have mercy on the remnant of Joseph.
要恶恶好善，在城门口秉公行义，或者耶和华万军之神向约瑟的余民施恩。
摩5:16
Therefore this is what the Lord, the LORD God Almighty, says: “There will be wailing in all the streets and cries of anguish in every public square. The farmers will be summoned to weep and the mourners to wail.
主耶和华万军之神如此说：“在一切宽阔处必有哀号的声音，在各街市上必有人说：‘哀哉！哀哉！’又必叫农夫来哭号，叫善唱哀歌的来举哀。
摩5:17
There will be wailing in all the vineyards, for I will pass through your midst,” says the LORD.
在各葡萄园，必有哀号的声音，因为我必从你中间经过。”这是耶和华说的。
摩5:18
Woe to you who long for the day of the LORD! Why do you long for the day of the LORD? That day will be darkness, not light.
想望耶和华日子来到的有祸了！你们为何想望耶和华的日子呢？那日黑暗没有光明，
摩5:19
It will be as though a man fled from a lion only to meet a bear, as though he entered his house and rested his hand on the wall only to have a snake bite him.
景况好像人躲避狮子又遇见熊，或是进房屋以手靠墙，就被蛇咬。
摩5:20
Will not the day of the LORD be darkness, not light–pitch-dark, without a ray of brightness?
耶和华的日子，不是黑暗没有光明吗？不是幽暗毫无光辉吗？
摩5:21
“I hate, I despise your religious feasts; I cannot stand your assemblies.
“我厌恶你们的节期，也不喜悦你们的严肃会。
摩5:22
Even though you bring me burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them. Though you bring choice fellowship offerings, I will have no regard for them.
你们虽然向我献燔祭和素祭，我却不悦纳，也不顾你们用肥畜献的平安祭。
摩5:23
Away with the noise of your songs! I will not listen to the music of your harps.
要使你们歌唱的声音远离我，因为我不听你们弹琴的响声。
摩5:24
But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!
惟愿公平如大水滚滚，使公义如江河滔滔！
摩5:25
“Did you bring me sacrifices and offerings forty years in the desert, O house of Israel?
以色列家啊，你们在旷野四十年，岂是将祭物和供物献给我呢？
摩5:26
You have lifted up the shrine of your king, the pedestal of your idols, the star of your god–which you made for yourselves.
你们抬着为自己所造之摩洛的帐幕和偶像的龛，并你们的神星。
摩5:27
Therefore I will send you into exile beyond Damascus,” says the LORD, whose name is God Almighty.
所以我要把你们掳到大马色以外。”这是耶和华名为万军之神说的。
阿摩司书第6章
摩6:1
Woe to you who are complacent in Zion, and to you who feel secure on Mount Samaria, you notable men of the foremost nation, to whom the people of Israel come!
国为列国之首，人最着名，且为以色列家所归向，在锡安和撒玛利亚山安逸无虑的有祸了！
摩6:2
Go to Calneh and look at it; go from there to great Hamath, and then go down to Gath in Philistia. Are they better off than your two kingdoms? Is their land larger than yours?
你们要过到甲尼察看，从那里往大城哈马去，又下到非利士人的迦特，看那些国比你们的国还强吗？境界比你们的境界还宽吗？
摩6:3
You put off the evil day and bring near a reign of terror.
你们以为降祸的日子还远，坐在位上尽行强暴（或作“行强暴使审判临近”）。
摩6:4
You lie on beds inlaid with ivory and lounge on your couches. You dine on choice lambs and fattened calves.
你们躺卧在象牙床上，舒身在榻上，吃群中的羊羔、棚里的牛犊。
摩6:5
You strum away on your harps like David and improvise on musical instruments.
弹琴鼓瑟唱消闲的歌曲，为自己制造乐器，如同大卫所造的。
摩6:6
You drink wine by the bowlful and use the finest lotions, but you do not grieve over the ruin of Joseph.
以大碗喝酒，用上等的油抹身，却不为约瑟的苦难担忧。
摩6:7
Therefore you will be among the first to go into exile; your feasting and lounging will end.
所以这些人必在被掳的人中首先被掳，舒身的人荒宴之乐必消灭了。
摩6:8
The Sovereign LORD has sworn by himself–the LORD God Almighty declares: “I abhor the pride of Jacob and detest his fortresses; I will deliver up the city and everything in it.”
主耶和华万军之神指着自己起誓说：“我憎恶雅各的荣华，厌弃他的宫殿；因此，我必将城和其中所有的都交付敌人。”
摩6:9
If ten men are left in one house, they too will die.
那时，若在一房之内剩下十个人，也都必死。
摩6:10
And if a relative who is to burn the bodies comes to carry them out of the house and asks anyone still hiding there, “Is anyone with you?” and he says, “No,” then he will say, “Hush! We must not mention the name of the LORD.”
死人的伯叔，就是烧他尸首的，要将这尸首搬到房外，问房屋内间的人说：“你那里还有人没有？”他必说：“没有。”又说：“不要作声，因为我们不可提耶和华的名。”
摩6:11
For the LORD has given the command, and he will smash the great house into pieces and the small house into bits.
看哪，耶和华出令，大房就被攻破，小屋就被打裂。
摩6:12
Do horses run on the rocky crags? Does one plow there with oxen? But you have turned justice into poison and the fruit of righteousness into bitterness–
马岂能在崖石上奔跑？人岂能在那里用牛耕种呢？你们却使公平变为苦胆，使公义的果子变为茵陈。
摩6:13
you who rejoice in the conquest of Lo Debar and say, “Did we not take Karnaim by our own strength?”
你们喜爱虚浮的事，自夸说：“我们不是凭自己的力量取了角吗？”
摩6:14
For the LORD God Almighty declares, “I will stir up a nation against you, O house of Israel, that will oppress you all the way from Lebo Hamath to the valley of the Arabah.”
耶和华万军之神说：“以色列家啊，我必兴起一国攻击你们；他们必欺压你们，从哈马口直到亚拉巴的河。”
阿摩司书第7章
摩7:1
This is what the Sovereign LORD showed me: He was preparing swarms of locusts after the king’s share had been harvested and just as the second crop was coming up.
主耶和华指示我一件事：为王割菜之后（“菜”或作“草”），菜又发生，刚发生的时候，主造蝗虫。
摩7:2
When they had stripped the land clean, I cried out, “Sovereign LORD, forgive! How can Jacob survive? He is so small!”
蝗虫吃尽那地的青物，我就说：“主耶和华啊，求你赦免！因为雅各微弱，他怎能站立得住呢？”
摩7:3
So the LORD relented. “This will not happen,” the LORD said.
耶和华就后悔说：“这灾可以免了。”
摩7:4
This is what the Sovereign LORD showed me: The Sovereign LORD was calling for judgment by fire; it dried up the great deep and devoured the land.
主耶和华又指示我一件事：他命火来惩罚以色列，火就吞灭深渊，险些将地烧灭。
摩7:5
Then I cried out, “Sovereign LORD, I beg you, stop! How can Jacob survive? He is so small!”
我就说：“主耶和华啊，求你止息！因为雅各微弱，他怎能站立得住呢？”
摩7:6
So the LORD relented. “This will not happen either,” the Sovereign LORD said.
耶和华就后悔说：“这灾也可免了。”
摩7:7
This is what he showed me: The Lord was standing by a wall that had been built true to plumb, with a plumb line in his hand.
他又指示我一件事：有一道墙是按准绳建筑的，主手拿准绳站在其上。
摩7:8
And the LORD asked me, “What do you see, Amos?” “A plumb line,” I replied. Then the Lord said, “Look, I am setting a plumb line among my people Israel; I will spare them no longer.
耶和华对我说：“阿摩司啊，你看见什么？”我说：“看见准绳。”主说：“我要吊起准绳在我民以色列中，我必不再宽恕他们。
摩7:9
“The high places of Isaac will be destroyed and the sanctuaries of Israel will be ruined; with my sword I will rise against the house of Jeroboam.”
以撒的邱坛必然凄凉，以色列的圣所必然荒废。我必兴起，用刀攻击耶罗波安的家。”
摩7:10
Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent a message to Jeroboam king of Israel: “Amos is raising a conspiracy against you in the very heart of Israel. The land cannot bear all his words.
伯特利的祭司亚玛谢，打发人到以色列王耶罗波安那里说：“阿摩司在以色列家中图谋背叛你；他所说的一切话，这国担当不起。
摩7:11
For this is what Amos is saying: “‘Jeroboam will die by the sword, and Israel will surely go into exile, away from their native land.’”
因为阿摩司如此说：‘耶罗波安必被刀杀，以色列民定被掳去离开本地。’”
摩7:12
Then Amaziah said to Amos, “Get out, you seer! Go back to the land of Judah. Earn your bread there and do your prophesying there.
亚玛谢又对阿摩司说：“你这先见哪，要逃往犹大地去，在那里糊口，在那里说预言，
摩7:13
Don’t prophesy anymore at Bethel, because this is the king’s sanctuary and the temple of the kingdom.”
却不要在伯特利再说预言，因为这里有王的圣所，有王的宫殿。”

Amos answered Amaziah, “I was neither a prophet nor a prophet’s son, but I was a shepherd, and I also took care of sycamore-fig trees.
阿摩司对亚玛谢说：“我原不是先知，也不是先知的门徒（原文作“儿子”）；我是牧人，又是修理桑树的。
摩7:15
But the LORD took me from tending the flock and said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’
耶和华选召我，使我不跟从羊群，对我说：‘你去向我民以色列说预言。’
摩7:16
Now then, hear the word of the LORD. You say, “‘Do not prophesy against Israel, and stop preaching against the house of Isaac.’
亚玛谢啊，现在你要听耶和华的话。你说：‘不要向以色列说预言，也不要向以撒家滴下预言。’
摩7:17
“Therefore this is what the LORD says: “‘Your wife will become a prostitute in the city, and your sons and daughters will fall by the sword. Your land will be measured and divided up, and you yourself will die in a pagan country. And Israel will certainly go into exile, away from their native land.’”
所以耶和华如此说：‘你的妻子必在城中作妓女，你的儿女必倒在刀下；你的地必有人用绳子量了分取，你自己必死在污秽之地。以色列民定被掳去离开本地。’”
阿摩司书第8章
摩8:1
This is what the Sovereign LORD showed me: a basket of ripe fruit.
主耶和华又指示我一件事：我看见一筐夏天的果子。
摩8:2
“What do you see, Amos?” he asked. “A basket of ripe fruit,” I answered. Then the LORD said to me, “The time is ripe for my people Israel; I will spare them no longer.
他说：“阿摩司啊，你看见什么？”我说：“看见一筐夏天的果子。”耶和华说：“我民以色列的结局到了，我必不再宽恕他们。”
摩8:3
“In that day,” declares the Sovereign LORD, “the songs in the temple will turn to wailing. Many, many bodies–flung everywhere! Silence!”
主耶和华说：“那日，殿中的诗歌变为哀号，必有许多尸首在各处抛弃，无人作声。”
摩8:4
Hear this, you who trample the needy and do away with the poor of the land,
你们这些要吞吃穷乏人、使困苦人衰败的，当听我的话！
摩8:5
saying, “When will the New Moon be over that we may sell grain, and the Sabbath be ended that we may market wheat?”–skimping the measure, boosting the price and cheating with dishonest scales,
你们说：“月朔几时过去？我们好卖粮；安息日几时过去？我们好摆开麦子。”卖出用小升斗，收银用大戥子，用诡诈的天平欺哄人，
摩8:6
buying the poor with silver and the needy for a pair of sandals, selling even the sweepings with the wheat.
好用银子买贫寒人，用一双鞋换穷乏人，将坏了的麦子卖给人。
摩8:7
The LORD has sworn by the Pride of Jacob: “I will never forget anything they have done.
耶和华指着雅各的荣耀起誓说：“他们的一切行为，我必永远不忘。
摩8:8
“Will not the land tremble for this, and all who live in it mourn? The whole land will rise like the Nile; it will be stirred up and then sink like the river of Egypt.
地岂不因这事震动？其上的居民不也悲哀吗？地必全然像尼罗河涨起，如同埃及河涌上落下。”
摩8:9
“In that day,” declares the Sovereign LORD, “I will make the sun go down at noon and darken the earth in broad daylight.
主耶和华说：“到那日，我必使日头在午间落下，使地在白昼黑暗。
摩8:10
I will turn your religious feasts into mourning and all your singing into weeping. I will make all of you wear sackcloth and shave your heads. I will make that time like mourning for an only son and the end of it like a bitter day.
我必使你们的节期变为悲哀，歌曲变为哀歌。众人腰束麻布，头上光秃，使这场悲哀如丧独生子，至终如痛苦的日子一样。”
摩8:11
“The days are coming,” declares the Sovereign LORD, “when I will send a famine through the land–not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the LORD.
主耶和华说：“日子将到，我必命饥荒降在地上。人饥饿非因无饼，干渴非因无水，乃因不听耶和华的话。
摩8:12
Men will stagger from sea to sea and wander from north to east, searching for the word of the LORD, but they will not find it.
他们必飘流，从这海到那海，从北边到东边，往来奔跑寻求耶和华的话，却寻不着。
摩8:13
“In that day “the lovely young women and strong young men will faint because of thirst.
当那日，美貌的处女和少年的男子必因干渴发昏。
摩8:14
They who swear by the shame of Samaria, or say, ‘As surely as your god lives, O Dan,’ or, ‘As surely as the god of Beersheba lives’–they will fall, never to rise again.”
那指着撒玛利亚牛犊（原文作“罪”）起誓的说：‘但哪，我们指着你那里的活 神起誓。’又说：‘我们指着别是巴的 神道（“ 神”原文作“活”）起誓。’这些人都必仆倒，永不再起来。”
阿摩司书第9章
摩9:1
I saw the Lord standing by the altar, and he said: “Strike the tops of the pillars so that the thresholds shake. Bring them down on the heads of all the people; those who are left I will kill with the sword. Not one will get away, none will escape.
我看见主站在祭坛旁边，他说：“你要击打柱顶，使门槛震动，打碎柱顶落在众人头上；所剩下的人，我必用刀杀戮，无一人能逃避，无一人能逃脱。
摩9:2
Though they dig down to the depths of the grave, from there my hand will take them. Though they climb up to the heavens, from there I will bring them down.
他们虽然挖透阴间，我的手必取出他们来；虽然爬上天去，我必拿下他们来。
摩9:3
Though they hide themselves on the top of Carmel, there I will hunt them down and seize them. Though they hide from me at the bottom of the sea, there I will command the serpent to bite them.
虽然藏在迦密山顶，我必搜寻，捉出他们来；虽然从我眼前藏在海底，我必命蛇咬他们。
摩9:4
Though they are driven into exile by their enemies, there I will command the sword to slay them. I will fix my eyes upon them for evil and not for good.”
虽被仇敌掳去，我必命刀剑杀戮他们；我必向他们定住眼目，降祸不降福。”
摩9:5
The Lord, the LORD Almighty, he who touches the earth and it melts, and all who live in it mourn–the whole land rises like the Nile, then sinks like the river of Egypt–
主万军之耶和华摸地，地就消化，凡住在地上的都必悲哀。地必全然像尼罗河涨起，如同埃及河落下。
摩9:6
he who builds his lofty palace in the heavens and sets its foundation on the earth, who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out over the face of the land–the LORD is his name.
那在天上建造楼阁，在地上安定穹苍，命海水浇在地上的，耶和华是他的名。
摩9:7
“Are not you Israelites the same to me as the Cushites?” declares the LORD. “Did I not bring Israel up from Egypt, the Philistines from Caphtor and the Arameans from Kir?
耶和华说：“以色列人哪，我岂不看你们如古实人吗？我岂不是领以色列人出埃及地，领非利士人出迦斐托，领亚兰人出吉珥吗？
摩9:8
“Surely the eyes of the Sovereign LORD are on the sinful kingdom. I will destroy it from the face of the earth–yet I will not totally destroy the house of Jacob,” declares the LORD.
主耶和华的眼目察看这有罪的国，必将这国从地上灭绝；却不将雅各家灭绝净尽。”这是耶和华说的。
摩9:9
“For I will give the command, and I will shake the house of Israel among all the nations as grain is shaken in a sieve, and not a pebble will reach the ground.
“我必出令，将以色列家分散在列国中，好像用筛子筛谷，连一粒也不落在地上。
摩9:10
All the sinners among my people will die by the sword, all those who say, ‘Disaster will not overtake or meet us.’
我民中的一切罪人说：‘灾祸必追不上我们，也迎不着我们。’他们必死在刀下。
摩9:11
“In that day I will restore David’s fallen tent. I will repair its broken places, restore its ruins, and build it as it used to be,
到那日，我必建立大卫倒塌的帐幕，堵住其中的破口。把那破坏的建立起来，重新修造，像古时一样，
摩9:12
so that they may possess the remnant of Edom and all the nations that bear my name,” declares the LORD, who will do these things.
使以色列人得以东所余剩的和所有称为我名下的国。”此乃行这事的耶和华说的。
摩9:13
“The days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman and the planter by the one treading grapes. New wine will drip from the mountains and flow from all the hills.
耶和华说：“日子将到，耕种的必接续收割的，踹葡萄的必接续撒种的。大山要滴下甜酒，小山都必流奶（原文作“消化”。见约珥书第三章十八节）。
摩9:14
I will bring back my exiled people Israel; they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit.
我必使我民以色列被掳的归回，他们必重修荒废的城邑居住，栽种葡萄园，喝其中所出的酒；修造果木园，吃其中的果子。
摩9:15
I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them,” says the LORD your God.
我要将他们栽于本地，他们不再从我所赐给他们的地上拔出来。”这是耶和华你的 神说的。
