耶利米哀歌

耶利米哀歌第1章

哀1:1

How deserted lies the city, once so full of people! How like a widow is she, who once was great among the nations! She who was queen among the provinces has now become a slave.

先前满有人民的城,现在何竟独坐!先前在列国中为大的,现在竟如寡妇!先前在诸省中为王后的,现在成为进贡的。

哀1:2

Bitterly she weeps at night, tears are upon her cheeks. Among all her lovers there is none to comfort her. All her friends have betrayed her; they have become her enemies.

她夜间痛哭,泪流满腮;在一切所亲爱的中间没有一个安慰她的。她的朋友都以诡诈待她,成为她的仇敌。

哀1:3

After affliction and harsh labor, Judah has gone into exile. She dwells among the nations; she finds no resting place. All who pursue her have overtaken her in the midst of her distress.

犹大因遭遇苦难,又因多服劳苦,就迁到外邦。她住在列国中,寻不着安息;追逼她的,都在狭窄之地将她追上。

哀1:4

The roads to Zion mourn, for no one comes to her appointed feasts. All her gateways are desolate, her priests groan, her maidens grieve, and she is in bitter anguish.

锡安的路径,因无人来守圣节就悲伤。她的城门凄凉,她的祭司叹息,她的处女受艰难,自己也愁苦。

哀1:5

Her foes have become her masters; her enemies are at ease. The LORD has brought her grief because of her many sins. Her children have gone into exile, captive before the foe.

她的敌人为首,她的仇敌亨通。因耶和华为她许多的罪过使她受苦,她的孩童被敌人掳去。

哀1:6

All the splendor has departed from the Daughter of Zion. Her princes are like deer that find no pasture; in weakness they have fled before the pursuer.

锡安城的威荣城原文作(“女”子下同“全都”。失去),她的首领像找不着草场的鹿,在追赶的人前无力行走。

哀1:7

In the days of her affliction and wandering Jerusalem remembers all the treasures that were hers in days of old. When her people fell into enemy hands, there was no one to help her. Her enemies looked at her and laughed at her destruction.

耶路撒冷在困苦窘迫之时,就追想古时一切的乐境。她百姓落在敌人手中,无人救济,敌人看见,就因她的荒凉嗤笑。

哀1:8

Jerusalem has sinned greatly and so has become unclean. All who honored her despise her, for they have seen her nakedness; she herself groans and turns away.

耶路撒冷大大犯罪,所以成为不洁之物,素来尊敬她的,见她赤露就都藐视她;她自己也叹息退后。

哀1:9

Her filthiness clung to her skirts; she did not consider her future. Her fall was astounding; there was none to comfort her. “Look, O LORD, on my affliction, for the enemy has triumphed.”

她的污秽是在衣襟上。她不思想自己的结局,所以非常的败落,无人安慰她。她说:“耶和华啊,求你看我的苦难,因为仇敌夸大。”

哀1:10

The enemy laid hands on all her treasures; she saw pagan nations enter her sanctuary–those you had forbidden to enter your assembly.

敌人伸手夺取她的美物。她眼见外邦人进入她的圣所;论这外邦人,你曾吩咐不可入你的会中。

哀1:11

All her people groan as they search for bread; they barter their treasures for food to keep themselves alive. “Look, O LORD, and consider, for I am despised.”

她的民都叹息,寻求食物;他们用美物换粮食,要救性命。他们说:“耶和华啊,求你观看,因为我甚是卑贱。

哀1:12

“Is it nothing to you, all you who pass by? Look around and see. Is any suffering like my suffering that was inflicted on me, that the LORD brought on me in the day of his fierce anger?

你们一切过路的人哪,这事你们不介意吗?你们要观看,有像这临到我的痛苦没有?就是耶和华在他发烈怒的日子使我所受的苦。

哀1:13

“From on high he sent fire, sent it down into my bones. He spread a net for my feet and turned me back. He made me desolate, faint all the day long.

他从高天使火进入我的骨头,克制了我;他铺下网罗,绊我的脚,使我转回,他使我终日凄凉发昏。

哀1:14

“My sins have been bound into a yoke; by his hands they were woven together. They have come upon my neck and the Lord has sapped my strength. He has handed me over to those I cannot withstand.

我罪过的轭是他手所绑的,犹如轭绳缚在我颈项上,他使我的力量衰败。主将我交在我所不能敌挡的人手中。

哀1:15

“The Lord has rejected all the warriors in my midst; he has summoned an army against me to crush my young men. In his winepress the Lord has trampled the Virgin Daughter of Judah.

主轻弃我中间的一切勇士,招聚多人(原文作“大会”)攻击我,要压碎我的少年人。主将犹大居民踹下,像在酒榨中一样。

哀1:16

“This is why I weep and my eyes overflow with tears. No one is near to comfort me, no one to restore my spirit. My children are destitute because the enemy has prevailed.”

我因这些事哭泣,我眼泪汪汪,因为那当安慰我、救我性命的,离我甚远。我的儿女孤苦,因为仇敌得了胜。”

哀1:17

Zion stretches out her hands, but there is no one to comfort her. The LORD has decreed for Jacob that his neighbors become his foes; Jerusalem has become an unclean thing among them.

锡安举手,无人安慰。耶和华论雅各已经出令,使四围的人作她仇敌,耶路撒冷在他们中间像不洁之物。

哀1:18

“The LORD is righteous, yet I rebelled against his command. Listen, all you peoples; look upon my suffering. My young men and maidens have gone into exile.

“耶和华是公义的!他这样待我,是因我违背他的命令。众民哪,请听我的话,看我的痛苦,我的处女和少年人都被掳去。

哀1:19

“I called to my allies but they betrayed me. My priests and my elders perished in the city while they searched for food to keep themselves alive.

我招呼我所亲爱的,他们却愚弄我。我的祭司和长老正寻求食物救性命的时候,就在城中绝气。

哀1:20

“See, O LORD, how distressed I am! I am in torment within, and in my heart I am disturbed, for I have been most rebellious. Outside, the sword bereaves; inside, there is only death.

耶和华啊,求你观看,因为我在急难中!我心肠扰乱,我心在我里面翻转,因我大大悖逆。在外刀剑使人丧子;在家犹如死亡。

哀1:21

“People have heard my groaning, but there is no one to comfort me. All my enemies have heard of my distress; they rejoice at what you have done. May you bring the day you have announced so they may become like me.

听见我叹息的有人;安慰我的却无人!我的仇敌都听见我所遭的患难;因你做这事,他们都喜乐。你必使你报告的日子来到,他们就像我一样。

哀1:22

“Let all their wickedness come before you; deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my sins. My groans are many and my heart is faint.”

愿他们的恶行都呈在你面前;你怎样因我的一切罪过待我,求你照样待他们,因我叹息甚多,心中发昏。”

耶利米哀歌第2章

哀2:1

How the Lord has covered the Daughter of Zion with the cloud of his anger! He has hurled down the splendor of Israel from heaven to earth; he has not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.

主何竟发怒,使黑云遮蔽锡安城?他将以色列的华美从天扔在地上;在他发怒的日子并不记念自己的脚凳。

哀2:2

Without pity the Lord has swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob; in his wrath he has torn down the strongholds of the Daughter of Judah. He has brought her kingdom and its princes down to the ground in dishonor.

主吞灭雅各一切的住处,并不顾惜。他发怒倾覆犹大民的保障,使这保障坍倒在地。他辱没这国和其中的首领。

哀2:3

In fierce anger he has cut off every horn of Israel. He has withdrawn his right hand at the approach of the enemy. He has burned in Jacob like a flaming fire that consumes everything around it.

他发烈怒,把以色列的角全然砍断,在仇敌面前收回右手。他像火焰四围吞灭,将雅各烧毁。

哀2:4

Like an enemy he has strung his bow; his right hand is ready. Like a foe he has slain all who were pleasing to the eye; he has poured out his wrath like fire on the tent of the Daughter of Zion.

他张弓,好像仇敌;他站着举起右手,如同敌人将悦人眼目的,尽行杀戮。在锡安百姓的帐棚上,倒出他的忿怒像火一样。

哀2:5

The Lord is like an enemy; he has swallowed up Israel. He has swallowed up all her palaces and destroyed her strongholds. He has multiplied mourning and lamentation for the Daughter of Judah.

主如仇敌吞灭以色列和锡安的一切宫殿,拆毁百姓的保障;在犹大民中,加增悲伤哭号。

哀2:6

He has laid waste his dwelling like a garden; he has destroyed his place of meeting. The LORD has made Zion forget her appointed feasts and her Sabbaths; in his fierce anger he has spurned both king and priest.

他强取自己的帐幕,好像是园中的窝棚,毁坏他的聚会之处。耶和华使圣节和安息日在锡安都被忘记,又在怒气的愤恨中藐视君王和祭司。

哀2:7

The Lord has rejected his altar and abandoned his sanctuary. He has handed over to the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have raised a shout in the house of the LORD as on the day of an appointed feast.

耶和华丢弃自己的祭坛,憎恶自己的圣所,将宫殿的墙垣交付仇敌。他们在耶和华的殿中喧嚷,像在圣会之日一样。

哀2:8

The LORD determined to tear down the wall around the Daughter of Zion. He stretched out a measuring line and did not withhold his hand from destroying. He made ramparts and walls lament; together they wasted away.

耶和华定意拆毁锡安的城墙;他拉了准绳,不将手收回,定要毁灭。他使外郭和城墙都悲哀,一同衰败。

哀2:9

Her gates have sunk into the ground; their bars he has broken and destroyed. Her king and her princes are exiled among the nations, the law is no more, and her prophets no longer find visions from the LORD.

锡安的门,都陷入地内,主将她的门闩毁坏折断。她的君王和首领落在没有律法的列国中;她的先知不得见耶和华的异象。

哀2:10

The elders of the Daughter of Zion sit on the ground in silence; they have sprinkled dust on their heads and put on sackcloth. The young women of Jerusalem have bowed their heads to the ground.

锡安城的长老,坐在地上默默无声,他们扬起尘土落在头上,腰束麻布;耶路撒冷的处女,垂头至地。

哀2:11

My eyes fail from weeping, I am in torment within, my heart is poured out on the ground because my people are destroyed, because children and infants faint in the streets of the city.

我眼中流泪,以致失明;我的心肠扰乱,肝胆涂地;都因我众民遭毁灭,又因孩童和吃奶的在城内街上发昏。

哀2:12

They say to their mothers, “Where is bread and wine?” as they faint like wounded men in the streets of the city, as their lives ebb away in their mothers’ arms.

那时,他们在城内街上发昏,好像受伤的,在母亲的怀里将要丧命,对母亲说:“谷、酒在哪里呢?”

哀2:13

What can I say for you? With what can I compare you, O Daughter of Jerusalem? To what can I liken you, that I may comfort you, O Virgin Daughter of Zion? Your wound is as deep as the sea. Who can heal you?

耶路撒冷的民哪,我可用什么向你证明呢?我可用什么与你相比呢?锡安的民哪,我可拿什么和你比较,好安慰你呢?因为你的裂口大如海,谁能医治你呢?

哀2:14

The visions of your prophets were false and worthless; they did not expose your sin to ward off your captivity. The oracles they gave you were false and misleading.

你的先知为你见虚假和愚昧的异象,并没有显露你的罪孽,使你被掳的归回,却为你见虚假的默示和使你被赶出本境的缘故。

哀2:15

All who pass your way clap their hands at you; they scoff and shake their heads at the Daughter of Jerusalem: “Is this the city that was called the perfection of beauty, the joy of the whole earth?”

凡过路的都向你拍掌。他们向耶路撒冷城嗤笑、摇头,说:“难道人所称为全美的,称为全地所喜悦的,就是这城吗?”

哀2:16

All your enemies open their mouths wide against you; they scoff and gnash their teeth and say, “We have swallowed her up. This is the day we have waited for; we have lived to see it.”

你的仇敌都向你大大张口。他们嗤笑,又切齿说:“我们吞灭她,这真是我们所盼望的日子临到了!我们亲眼看见了!”

哀2:17

The LORD has done what he planned; he has fulfilled his word, which he decreed long ago. He has overthrown you without pity, he has let the enemy gloat over you, he has exalted the horn of your foes.

耶和华成就了他所定的,应验了他古时所命定的。他倾覆了,并不顾惜,使你的仇敌向你夸耀,使你敌人的角也被高举。

哀2:18

The hearts of the people cry out to the Lord. O wall of the Daughter of Zion, let your tears flow like a river day and night; give yourself no relief, your eyes no rest.

锡安民的心哀求主。锡安的城墙啊,愿你流泪如河,昼夜不息;愿你眼中的瞳人泪流不止。

哀2:19

Arise, cry out in the night, as the watches of the night begin; pour out your heart like water in the presence of the Lord. Lift up your hands to him for the lives of your children, who faint from hunger at the head of every street.

夜间,每逢交更的时候要起来呼喊,在主面前倾心如水。你的孩童在各市口上受饿发昏,你要为他们的性命向主举手祷告。

哀2:20

“Look, O LORD, and consider: Whom have you ever treated like this? Should women eat their offspring, the children they have cared for? Should priest and prophet be killed in the sanctuary of the Lord?

“耶和华啊,求你观看!见你向谁这样行?妇人岂可吃自己所生育、手里所摇弄的婴孩吗?祭司和先知岂可在主的圣所中被杀戮吗?

哀2:21

“Young and old lie together in the dust of the streets; my young men and maidens have fallen by the sword. You have slain them in the day of your anger; you have slaughtered them without pity.

少年人和老年人都在街上躺卧;我的处女和壮丁都倒在刀下。你发怒的日子杀死他们。你杀了,并不顾惜。

哀2:22

“As you summon to a feast day, so you summoned against me terrors on every side. In the day of the LORD’S anger no one escaped or survived; those I cared for and reared, my enemy has destroyed.”

你招聚四围惊吓我的,像在大会的日子招聚人一样。耶和华发怒的日子,无人逃脱,无人存留。我所摇弄所养育的婴孩,仇敌都杀净了。”

耶利米哀歌第3章

哀3:1

I am the man who has seen affliction by the rod of his wrath.

我是因耶和华忿怒的杖,遭遇困苦的人。

哀3:2

He has driven me away and made me walk in darkness rather than light;

他引导我,使我行在黑暗中,不行在光明里。

哀3:3

indeed, he has turned his hand against me again and again, all day long.

他真是终日再三反手攻击我!

哀3:4

He has made my skin and my flesh grow old and has broken my bones.

他使我的皮肉枯干,他折断(或作“压伤”)我的骨头。

哀3:5

He has besieged me and surrounded me with bitterness and hardship.

他筑垒攻击我,用苦楚(原文作“苦胆”)和艰难围困我。

哀3:6

He has made me dwell in darkness like those long dead.

他使我住在幽暗之处像死了许久的人一样。

哀3:7

He has walled me in so I cannot escape; he has weighed me down with chains.

他用篱笆围住我,使我不能出去,他使我的铜链沉重。

哀3:8

Even when I call out or cry for help, he shuts out my prayer.

我哀号求救;他使我的祷告不得上达。

哀3:9

He has barred my way with blocks of stone; he has made my paths crooked.

他用凿过的石头挡住我的道;他使我的路弯曲。

哀3:10

Like a bear lying in wait, like a lion in hiding,

他向我如熊埋伏,如狮子在隐密处。

哀3:11

he dragged me from the path and mangled me and left me without help.

他使我转离正路,将我撕碎,使我凄凉。

哀3:12

He drew his bow and made me the target for his arrows.

他张弓将我当作箭靶子。

哀3:13

He pierced my heart with arrows from his quiver.

他把箭袋中的箭射入我的肺腑。

哀3:14

I became the laughingstock of all my people; they mock me in song all day long.

我成了众民的笑话;他们终日以我为歌曲。

哀3:15

He has filled me with bitter herbs and sated me with gall.

他用苦楚充满我,使我饱用茵陈。

哀3:16

He has broken my teeth with gravel; he has trampled me in the dust.

他又用沙石碜断我的牙,用灰尘将我蒙蔽。

哀3:17

I have been deprived of peace; I have forgotten what prosperity is.

你使我远离平安,我忘记好处。

哀3:18

So I say, “My splendor is gone and all that I had hoped from the LORD.”

我就说:“我的力量衰败,我在耶和华那里毫无指望!”

哀3:19

I remember my affliction and my wandering, the bitterness and the gall.

耶和华啊,求你记念我如茵陈和苦胆的困苦窘迫。

哀3:20

I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within me.

我心想念这些,就在里面忧闷。

哀3:21

Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope:

我想起这事,心里就有指望。

哀3:22

Because of the LORD’S great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.

我们不至消灭,是出于耶和华诸般的慈爱,是因他的怜悯不致断绝。

哀3:23

They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

每早晨这都是新的。你的诚实极其广大!

哀3:24

I say to myself, “The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.”

我心里说:“耶和华是我的分,因此,我要仰望他。”

哀3:25

The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him;

凡等候耶和华、心里寻求他的,耶和华必施恩给他。

哀3:26

it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.

人仰望耶和华,静默等候他的救恩,这原是好的。

哀3:27

It is good for a man to bear the yoke while he is young.

人在幼年负轭,这原是好的。

哀3:28

Let him sit alone in silence, for the LORD has laid it on him.

他当独坐无言,因为这是耶和华加在他身上的。

哀3:29

Let him bury his face in the dust–there may yet be hope.

他当口贴尘埃,或者有指望。

哀3:30

Let him offer his cheek to one who would strike him, and let him be filled with disgrace.

他当由人打他的腮颊,要满受凌辱。

哀3:31

For men are not cast off by the Lord forever.

因为主必不永远丢弃人。

哀3:32

Though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love.

主虽使人忧愁,还要照他诸般的慈爱发怜悯。

哀3:33

For he does not willingly bring affliction or grief to the children of men.

因他并不甘心使人受苦、使人忧愁。

哀3:34

To crush underfoot all prisoners in the land,

人将世上被囚的踹(原文作“压”)在脚下,

哀3:35

to deny a man his rights before the Most High,

或在至高者面前屈枉人,

哀3:36

to deprive a man of justice–would not the Lord see such things?

或在人的讼事上颠倒是非,这都是主看不上的。

哀3:37

Who can speak and have it happen if the Lord has not decreed it?

除非主命定,谁能说成就成呢?

哀3:38

Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that both calamities and good things come?

祸福不都出于至高者的口吗?

哀3:39

Why should any living man complain when punished for his sins?

活人因自己的罪受罚,为何发怨言呢?

哀3:40

Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the LORD.

我们当深深考察自己的行为,再归向耶和华。

哀3:41

Let us lift up our hearts and our hands to God in heaven, and say:

我们当诚心向天上的 神举手祷告:

哀3:42

“We have sinned and rebelled and you have not forgiven.

“我们犯罪背逆,你并不赦免。

哀3:43

“You have covered yourself with anger and pursued us; you have slain without pity.

你自被怒气遮蔽,追赶我们;你施行杀戮,并不顾惜。

哀3:44

You have covered yourself with a cloud so that no prayer can get through.

你以黑云遮蔽自己,以致祷告不得透入。

哀3:45

You have made us scum and refuse among the nations.

你使我们在万民中成为污秽和渣滓。

哀3:46

“All our enemies have opened their mouths wide against us.

我们的仇敌都向我们大大张口。

哀3:47

We have suffered terror and pitfalls, ruin and destruction.”

恐惧和陷坑,残害和毁灭,都临近我们。”

哀3:48

Streams of tears flow from my eyes because my people are destroyed.

因我众民遭的毁灭,我就眼泪下流如河。

哀3:49

My eyes will flow unceasingly, without relief,

我的眼多多流泪,总不止息,

哀3:50

until the LORD looks down from heaven and sees.

直等耶和华垂顾,从天观看。

哀3:51

What I see brings grief to my soul because of all the women of my city.

因我本城的众民,我的眼,使我的心伤痛。

哀3:52

Those who were my enemies without cause hunted me like a bird.

无故与我为仇的追逼我,像追雀鸟一样。

哀3:53

They tried to end my life in a pit and threw stones at me;

他们使我的命在牢狱中断绝,并将一块石头抛在我身上。

哀3:54

the waters closed over my head, and I thought I was about to be cut off.

众水流过我头,我说:“我命断绝了!”

哀3:55

I called on your name, O LORD, from the depths of the pit.

耶和华啊,我从深牢中求告你的名。

哀3:56

You heard my plea: “Do not close your ears to my cry for relief.”

你曾听见我的声音;我求你解救,你不要掩耳不听。

哀3:57

You came near when I called you, and you said, “Do not fear.”

我求告你的日子,你临近我说:“不要惧怕!”

哀3:58

O Lord, you took up my case; you redeemed my life.

主啊,你伸明了我的冤,你救赎了我的命。

哀3:59

You have seen, O LORD, the wrong done to me. Uphold my cause!

耶和华啊,你见了我受的委屈,求你为我伸冤。

哀3:60

You have seen the depth of their vengeance, all their plots against me.

他们仇恨我,谋害我,你都看见了。

哀3:61

O LORD, you have heard their insults, all their plots against me–

耶和华啊,你听见他们辱骂我的话,知道他们向我所设的计,

哀3:62

what my enemies whisper and mutter against me all day long.

并那些起来攻击我的人口中所说的话,以及终日向我所设的计谋。

哀3:63

Look at them! Sitting or standing, they mock me in their songs.

求你观看,他们坐下、起来,都以我为歌曲。

哀3:64

Pay them back what they deserve, O LORD, for what their hands have done.

耶和华啊,你要按着他们手所做的,向他们施行报应。

哀3:65

Put a veil over their hearts, and may your curse be on them!

你要使他们心里刚硬,使你的咒诅临到他们。

哀3:66

Pursue them in anger and destroy them from under the heavens of the LORD.

你要发怒追赶他们,从耶和华的天下除灭他们。

耶利米哀歌第4章

哀4:1

How the gold has lost its luster, the fine gold become dull! The sacred gems are scattered at the head of every street.

黄金何其失光!纯金何其变色!圣所的石头倒在各市口上。

哀4:2

How the precious sons of Zion, once worth their weight in gold, are now considered as pots of clay, the work of a potter’s hands!

锡安宝贵的众子好比精金,现在何竟算为窑匠手所做的瓦瓶?

哀4:3

Even jackals offer their breasts to nurse their young, but my people have become heartless like ostriches in the desert.

野狗尚且把奶乳哺其子,我民的妇人倒成为残忍,好像旷野的鸵鸟一般。

哀4:4

Because of thirst the infant’s tongue sticks to the roof of its mouth; the children beg for bread, but no one gives it to them.

吃奶孩子的舌头因干渴贴住上膛;孩童求饼,无人擘给他们。

哀4:5

Those who once ate delicacies are destitute in the streets. Those nurtured in purple now lie on ash heaps.

素来吃美好食物的,现今在街上变为孤寒;素来卧朱红褥子的,现今躺卧粪堆。

哀4:6

The punishment of my people is greater than that of Sodom, which was overthrown in a moment without a hand turned to help her.

都因我众民的罪孽比所多玛的罪还大;所多玛虽然无人加手于她,还是转眼之间被倾覆。

哀4:7

Their princes were brighter than snow and whiter than milk, their bodies more ruddy than rubies, their appearance like sapphires.

锡安的贵胄素来比雪纯净、比奶更白;他们的身体比红宝玉(或作“珊瑚”)更红,像光润的蓝宝石一样。

哀4:8

But now they are blacker than soot; they are not recognized in the streets. Their skin has shriveled on their bones; it has become as dry as a stick.

现在他们的面貌比煤炭更黑,以致在街上无人认识;他们的皮肤紧贴骨头,枯干如同槁木。

哀4:9

Those killed by the sword are better off than those who die of famine; racked with hunger, they waste away for lack of food from the field.

饿死的不如被刀杀的,因为这是缺了田间的土产,就身体衰弱,渐渐消灭。

哀4:10

With their own hands compassionate women have cooked their own children, who became their food when my people were destroyed.

慈心的妇人,当我众民被毁灭的时候,亲手煮自己的儿女作为食物。

哀4:11

The LORD has given full vent to his wrath; he has poured out his fierce anger. He kindled a fire in Zion that consumed her foundations.

耶和华发怒成就他所定的,倒出他的烈怒,在锡安使火着起,烧毁锡安的根基。

哀4:12

The kings of the earth did not believe, nor did any of the world’s people, that enemies and foes could enter the gates of Jerusalem.

地上的君王和世上的居民,都不信敌人和仇敌能进耶路撒冷的城门。

哀4:13

But it happened because of the sins of her prophets and the iniquities of her priests, who shed within her the blood of the righteous.

这都因她先知的罪恶和祭司的罪孽,他们在城中流了义人的血。

哀4:14

Now they grope through the streets like men who are blind. They are so defiled with blood that no one dares to touch their garments.

他们在街上如瞎子乱走,又被血玷污,以致人不能摸他们的衣服。

哀4:15

“Go away! You are unclean!” men cry to them. “Away! Away! Don’t touch us!” When they flee and wander about, people among the nations say, “They can stay here no longer.”

人向他们喊着说:“不洁净的,躲开,躲开!不要挨近我!”他们逃走飘流的时候,列国中有人说:“他们不可仍在这里寄居。”

哀4:16

The LORD himself has scattered them; he no longer watches over them. The priests are shown no honor, the elders no favor.

耶和华发怒,将他们分散,不再眷顾他们。人不重看祭司,也不厚待长老。

哀4:17

Moreover, our eyes failed, looking in vain for help; from our towers we watched for a nation that could not save us.

我们仰望人来帮助,以致眼目失明,还是枉然。我们所盼望的,竟盼望一个不能救人的国!

哀4:18

Men stalked us at every step, so we could not walk in our streets. Our end was near, our days were numbered, for our end had come.

仇敌追赶我们的脚步像打猎的,以致我们不敢在自己的街上行走。我们的结局临近,我们的日子满足,我们的结局来到了。

哀4:19

Our pursuers were swifter than eagles in the sky; they chased us over the mountains and lay in wait for us in the desert.

追赶我们的比空中的鹰更快;他们在山上追逼我们,在旷野埋伏,等候我们。

哀4:20

The LORD’S anointed, our very life breath, was caught in their traps. We thought that under his shadow we would live among the nations.

耶和华的受膏者好比我们鼻中的气,在他们的坑中被捉住;我们曾论到他说:“我们必在他荫下,在列国中存活。”

哀4:21

Rejoice and be glad, O Daughter of Edom, you who live in the land of Uz. But to you also the cup will be passed; you will be drunk and stripped naked.

住乌斯地的以东民哪,只管欢喜快乐,苦杯也必传到你那里;你必喝醉,以致露体。

哀4:22

O Daughter of Zion, your punishment will end; he will not prolong your exile. But, O Daughter of Edom, he will punish your sin and expose your wickedness.

锡安的民哪,你罪孽的刑罚受足了,耶和华必不使你再被掳去。以东的民哪,他必追讨你的罪孽,显露你的罪恶。

耶利米哀歌第5章

哀5:1

Remember, O LORD, what has happened to us; look, and see our disgrace.

耶和华啊,求你记念我们所遭遇的事,观看我们所受的凌辱。

哀5:2

Our inheritance has been turned over to aliens, our homes to foreigners.

我们的产业归与外邦人;我们的房屋归与外路人。

哀5:3

We have become orphans and fatherless, our mothers like widows.

我们是无父的孤儿;我们的母亲好像寡妇。

哀5:4

We must buy the water we drink; our wood can be had only at a price.

我们出钱才得水喝;我们的柴是人卖给我们的。

哀5:5

Those who pursue us are at our heels; we are weary and find no rest.

追赶我们的,到了我们的颈项上;我们疲乏不得歇息。

哀5:6

We submitted to Egypt and Assyria to get enough bread.

我们投降埃及人和亚述人,为要得粮吃饱。

哀5:7

Our fathers sinned and are no more, and we bear their punishment.

我们列祖犯罪,而今不在了,我们担当他们的罪孽。

哀5:8

Slaves rule over us, and there is none to free us from their hands.

奴仆辖制我们,无人救我们脱离他们的手。

哀5:9

We get our bread at the risk of our lives because of the sword in the desert.

因为旷野的刀剑,我们冒着险才得粮食。

哀5:10

Our skin is hot as an oven, feverish from hunger.

因饥饿燥热,我们的皮肤就黑如炉。

哀5:11

Women have been ravished in Zion, and virgins in the towns of Judah.

敌人在锡安玷污妇人,在犹大的城邑玷污处女。

哀5:12

Princes have been hung up by their hands; elders are shown no respect.

他们吊起首领的手,也不尊敬老人的面。

哀5:13

Young men toil at the millstones; boys stagger under loads of wood.

少年人扛磨石,孩童背木柴,都绊跌了。

哀5:14

The elders are gone from the city gate; the young men have stopped their music.

老年人在城门口断绝;少年人不再作乐。

哀5:15

Joy is gone from our hearts; our dancing has turned to mourning.

我们心中的快乐止息,跳舞变为悲哀。

哀5:16

The crown has fallen from our head. Woe to us, for we have sinned!

冠冕从我们的头上落下;我们犯罪了,我们有祸了!

哀5:17

Because of this our hearts are faint, because of these things our eyes grow dim

这些事我们心里发昏,我们的眼睛昏花。

哀5:18

for Mount Zion, which lies desolate, with jackals prowling over it.

锡安山荒凉,野狗(或作“狐狸”)行在其上。

哀5:19

You, O LORD, reign forever; your throne endures from generation to generation.

耶和华啊,你存到永远,你的宝座存到万代。

哀5:20

Why do you always forget us? Why do you forsake us so long?

你为何永远忘记我们?为何许久离弃我们?

哀5:21

Restore us to yourself, O LORD, that we may return; renew our days as of old

耶和华啊,求你使我们向你回转,我们便得回转;求你复新我们的日子,像古时一样。

哀5:22

unless you have utterly rejected us and are angry with us beyond measure.

你竟全然弃绝我们,向我们大发烈怒。
